Sometimes, we reach a point in time when we feel grateful / blessed for all that we have achieved and all that has been bestowed upon us, we are then engulfed by a strong desire to reciprocate. We develop an urge to support those less fortunate. This is the great human spirit. Led by this spirit, Dr. Muhammed Majeed, head of a large group of companies, viz, Sami Labs Ltd in Bangalore and, Sabinsa Corporation in the USA, and a host of other developed countries has embarked upon a new mission – a mission to lend a helping hand to the needy, his helping hand.
Dr. Majeed Foundation is a noble Endeavour to help educate the underprivileged children in India. It is an effort to uplift the needy of the new generation so that, they can also play an important role in the socio-economic growth of the country.
Two training centers were started in India – at Cochin, Kerala and Kunigal, Karnataka – to educate these children in MS office & Desktop application software. As of November 1, 2010, 1743 students from Cochin and 998 Students from Kunigal have successfully completed the training.
Education is a critical requisite for social change. Education will empower the underprivileged, which is why the Dr. Majeed Foundation is focusing on educating the poor and needy. “The mind is a terrible thing to waste”, says Dr. Majeed.
